Scientists Develop Drinks of the 19th Century, anekatips.info, Finnish scientists are now observing a rare drinks that are found from the 19th century from the ruins of the ship that sank in the Baltic Sea, in the hope that they can create new drinks. "Researchers want to know what's yeast used in these drinks, because the manufacture of yeast itself is still unknown until the early 1800s," said spokeswoman Annika Wilhelmson VTT. The experts are also still not sure whether the yeast can survive for two centuries in the cold atmosphere of the sea with a depth of up to 50 meters.
