Black Girls Rock Awards 2010 - Daily News, Black Girls Rock is a program or event that was established to promote the arts for young women, as well as to encourage dialogue and analysis of women who are portrayed in the media.
Black Girls Rock or the abbreviated with BGR established since 2006 and has always been the arena of attention especially for women, held every year. At this time BGR awards, BET Networks will take over the historic Paradise Theater in New York City for a star-studded affair honoring some of the most remarkable women in this country colors. BLACK GIRLS ROCK! a select group of individuals whose contributions and outstanding achievements have enriched our culture and progress. Premiere television network will broadcast exclusively on BET, Sunday, November 7.
The following award categories will be included in the BLACK GIRLS ROCK! TV special:
The "Rock Star" Award: This will be given to a woman's fierce and fearless that has successfully pushed the envelope and carved a niche in which other artists obediently follow.
Social Humanity: This award will honor an artist who uses celebrity to raise awareness about world issues, voluntary giving to the community and address the emotional needs, physical and material people in crisis, hardship and poor conditions.
Who Got Next: This award recognizes major talent straight? 'Out of the gate. "These fire-starter has created a buzz and proved himself as a force to be reckoned with.
Living Legend: This award is given to individuals choose exceptional talent whose life long contributions and achievements have enriched our culture and progress.
Young gifted & Black: This award recognizes a young go-getter under the age of 25 who have reached the amount that could be addressed through a metamorphosis of the ideal of success, and an acute ability to stand and deliver.
